Hanieh Bozorgnia studierte an der Kunsthochschule für Medien in Köln und arbeitet seither als Regisseur:in und Drehbuchautor:in. Ihr autobiografischer Abschlussfilm BITTER wurde durch die Film- und Medienstiftung NRW gefördert, feierte Premiere im Wettbewerb des renommierten Max Ophüls Preises und wurde als bester mittellanger Film bei den FIRST STEPS AWARDS 2024 nominiert. Als Videokünstlerin war sie bereits für Produktionen an den Münchner Kammerspielen und zuletzt am Schauspiel Dortmund tätig. Ebenso sichtete und kuratierte Hanieh Filmprogramme, wie z.B. für ENCOURAGE Film Talents während der Berlinale 2025.

Hanieh Bozorgnia studied at the Art Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and has since worked as a director and screenwriter. Her autobiographical graduation film BITTER was funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, premiered in competition at the renowned Max Ophüls Prize, and was nominated for Best Medium-Length Film at the FIRST STEPS AWARDS 2024. As a video artist, she has worked on productions at the Munich Kammerspiele and most recently at the Schauspiel Dortmund. Hanieh has also viewed and curated film programs, such as for ENCOURAGE Film Talents during the 2025 Berlinale.
Ferdinand Ehrhardt ist Autor und Regisseur von Animationsfilmen – seine größte Leidenschaft, das Geschichtenerzählen, begann schon früh: beim Spielen mit den Kuscheltieren seines Bruders. Seine Werke vereinen Herz, Humor und visuelle Fantasie, was er auch mit seinem Film DETLEV unter Beweis stellte, der beim vergangenen Filmfest Düsseldorf gezeigt und in der Kategorie „Publikumspreis“ abräumen konnte.

Time to introduce our next jury member: Ferdinand
Ferdinand Ehrhhardt is a writer and director of animated films – his passion for storytelling started early, playing with his brother’s stuffed animals. His work is full of heart, humor, and visual imagination – as seen in his film DETLEV, which was screened and awarded at last year’s Filmfest. We’re excited to have Ferdinand on our jury this year!
Hanna Grépály ist Studentin der Medien- und Kulturwissenschaft und mittlerweile schon das dritte Jahr beim Filmfest dabei. Erst als Technik-Team Mitglied tätig und im Folgejahr im Vorstand aktiv freut sie sich jetzt ein Teil der Jury sein zu dürfen.
Neben dem Studium begeistert sich Hanna Grépály für alles was in der Postproduktion von Filmen und Serien stattfindet. Sie teilt mit dem Publikum des Filmfests eine große Leidenschaft für außergewöhnliche Filme, zu denen sie nun eine studentische Perspektive in der Jury übernehmen kann.

Hanna Grépály is a Media and Cultural Studies student and is now taking part in the Filmfest for the third year in a row. After starting out on the tech-team and later joining the board, she’s now excited to be part of the jury.
Outside of her studies, Hanna is passionate about everything that happens in post-production for films and series. She shares a deep love for unique and unconventional cinema with the festival audience — and now brings a student’s perspective to the jury table.

Oliver Kröner ist Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (PostDoc) am Institut für Medien- und Kulturwissenschaft der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind Film- und Fernsehtheorie, Figurentheorie und Medienrezeption.
